Now that I started school, I noticed how much I neglected both The Gamer-Geek Paradox and BtP but that doesn't mean that I'll stop making the comics! Possibly by monday i should have at least one new comic up.

#011 - Aftermath #012 & #013 Story

I don't really know why I put these entries anymore but meh...

Well I'm trying to work backgrounds into the comics now and the window panes look ok but I really need to thicken the lines. Other than that I still got a lot of work to do.

I already came up with the drafts for the two next comic strips (well more 12 than 13). Both will be three-panel strips, and I don't know when exactly I'll post them up. I was going for this week as a MON,WED,FRI schedule but if not then next monday.

Ok well I guess this one was actually fun to do because I laughed towards the end, but the one thing I'm liking is that I'm very very very slowly progressing in my drawings which is a good thing for me. Maybe not great but good nonetheless.

For #11, I'll hold off on the actual story line that I promised because I want to make this one about the Anime Expo. It will still involve my character so hope you guys like it.

Now in the other site I announced that I will start to make designs for merchandise. Now I'm working really hard trying to get this together so towards the end of the week (as long as I don't get swamped by homework) I'll release the designs for the t-shirts that will be available at CAFEPRESS.COM. If all goes well I'll release three designs this week and then another next week. One of the designs will be about comic #010.

Because I started my classes it will be a little bit harder to do my comic, but because it's just one class and since it only happens M-TH I can work on the comic all day Friday. That doesn't mean I will it just means that I'll be going back and forth between my school work, and The Gamer-Geek Paradox comics. I am going to start working on the comic right now.

So first off the guy in the black isn't my character...it's supposed to be Steve Jobs, and I did a better sketch in my sketchbook, however he looked serious in the sketch and for some really strange reason I couldn't for the life of me make him look excited. Everytime I tried, he ended up looking less and less like well Steve Jobs. Maybe he was jinxing me or something, I don't know.

My class will begin today so it will kinda hard for me to do the comic but I really will try to have it posted up by next Monday.

I finished #009 and will post it up on monday. Just to spoil it it's about steve jobs, mobile me and dragonball...hope you guys got an idea on what it'll look like.

i'll start working on #010 which i said it was about the wii fit and will not feature the main character...

I finished inking the comic and will finish editing and coloring it tonight. It should be up by monday so that then I can work on #010 that week. I just hope I can finish it.

#008 - Aftermath & #009, #010 - Story

It's hard to make something like this on a computer that everyone uses. I barely finished the post and the comic was done around six but I didn't post it up until just know because one of my siblings had to use the computer (I say "had to" to give it some merit, but eh...). I originally wanted to have just Iron Man on it because it would be funny if it was just Tony, Trixie, and Speed in one panel. But by the time I began working on it Prince Caspian came out and it beat Iron Man so I included him and some other chick (she's not specific so just imagine someone else I guess). By the time this comic came out, the Incredible Hulk made #1 in the box office and I think before that was Sex and the City, so you get my point. Too much shit.

So #9 will be about Steve Jobs and #10 will be about the Wii fit. None of which will include my character maybe #11 but I'll see if I can. I haven't given up on him because I'm writing (more like thinking since I'm a lazy writer) a story line that will involve him and other characters and they'll soon be in the comic once I'm done coming up with the conceptions and become better at my doodles. Pretty much the story line will be the core of The Gamer-Geek Paradox, I hope

It's been very hard to make these comics because of not getting a real minute to do the actual work. I always have to get off the chair for something (against my will, but gotta do it) I just need two panels left, so i'll try to hurry this time. I don't know exactly when the comic will be up, but hopefully this week.

Well sorry I haven't made the comic yet since i'm still working on finals. The last day is on friday so the comic will be up next week. I am practicing on my drawings and the way #008 will look like so hopefully it looks alright.

Finals might delay this comic. I have to go tomorrow to IKEA to take some photos, and then start working on them immediately. I'll try to work on the comic as fast as I can but I really need to focus on the finals. The semester ends on the 4th for me so after that I'm pretty much good to do more comics. Well except when I start summer semester, meh que sera sera...

#007 - Aftermath and #008 - Story

So yeah as you can see, the pens were a huge disappointment. They smudged like crazy, I had to take out a blank page so that it doesn't mess up the drawings completely. The first panel was almost ruined because of the pens, and by the final panel they ran out! They both ran out! Needless to say, I won't be buying more. I'll still use the Micron series, but not the Graphics. Waste of money. I'll probably buy actual ink and a pen so that I can use on the next comic, so hopefully it works out better than the Graphics pens. Just to experiment to see which method is faster. I really don't want to go back to just using the computer.

Ok so the next comic will be about the movies. I'm being more subtle this time around because I don't really want to spoil it (since this pretty much could be considered a spoiler blog) but mostly to keep my ideas to myself until I release the comic on Monday, hopefully. So yeah wish me luck!

To what the title and picture says it's true! the Pigma Graphic pens have arrived. Sadly I can't work on the inks right now since i have to go to a party. When I get home I promise I'll start to work on them.

The pencils for the first panel are done and I'll start working on the last three, but I just wanted to update this so I don't leave anybody in the dark. It's looking really good so I hope it comes out alright.

I purchased the Pigma Graphic pens so that I can fill in the blacks much better than using the Micron series.

#007 - Update

The comic will be a tad late since I'm still working on it, trying to really get the facial expressions right. I really want this comic to be at least a little bit better than the last one.

Here's a sketch of the main character and some facial expressions. I'm been getting help from Preston Blair's book not to mention some of Chris Sanders sketches for more inspiration. His drawings are superb and I'm really glad that he made a blog and updates it even though he's working on an animated project right now.

Plus I'm trying to get these Sakura Pigma Graphic pens so that I can do my comics a lot quicker. I'm using the micron series and the tips are tiny so it both wastes ink trying to fill in the black areas and it takes way to long to clean up the spots that I miss in photoshop. So it will probably be out by Friday or if not then by next week.

It'll will be about the EVA series. It won't criticize the series so don't worry about offensive stuff. At least that's what I'm going for right now.
